Removing the explosive remnants of war | Helping safeguard the lives of millions

Conflict has left a deadly legacy of landmines, unexploded ordnance and cast aside munitions in its wake in more than 80 countries worldwide.

These by-products of war are a persistent threat, lying in wait for an unsuspecting farmer, to become a deadly play toy for children, or as a perilous source of income for those who are forced to sell them for scrap to feed their families.

The result of these and other lethal scenarios is 15,000 to 20,000 casualties each year. In spite of this grim statistic, there is much that can be done to save lives and limbs. At the Golden West Humanitarian Foundation, we have developed innovative systems to assist in educating populations about the dangers of Explosive Remnants of War, and in helping clear them. As a leader in the field, we are proud to be an important part of the global effort to eliminate these indiscriminate killers.
