PUBLIC SAFETY

The threat from improvised devices, poorly secured weapons, and explosive remnants of war does not stop at the military perimeter. Police officers, first responders, and civilian emergency services routinely encounter these hazards — often without the training, equipment, or doctrine to handle them safely. Many organisations can locate ordnance. Fewer can safely identify, transport, and dispose of what they find — particularly when items are unusual, degraded, or previously unseen.

Golden West’s fully licensed end-to-end capability means a single trusted partner manages the entire process, reducing handover risk, ensuring consistent technical standards, and delivering clear accountability at every stage. Our use of the Mobile Cutting System (MCS) and other low-order disposal techniques means we can eliminate hazards without resorting to open detonation — reducing noise, blast, and environmental damage in areas where communities live and work alongside clearance operations.

Who We Work With

Golden West Humanitarian Foundation has delivered public safety training and advisory services to police forces, border agencies, and civilian emergency services across a wide geographic range — from Pacific island nations to Northern Europe. Our engagements vary significantly in scale and context, from multi-year capability development programmes to short focused missions that address a specific emerging threat or knowledge gap.

Common to all of them is our commitment to practical, applicable training: methods and skills that personnel can actually use in the field, with the equipment they have, in the conditions they face.

Our Public Safety Training Portfolio

Many organisations can locate ordnance. Fewer can safely identify, transport, and dispose of what they find — particularly when items are unusual, degraded, or previously unseen. Golden West’s fully licensed end-to-end capability means a single trusted partner manages the entire process, reducing handover risk, ensuring consistent technical standards, and delivering clear accountability at every stage.

Golden West Humanitarian Foundation also advises on organisational design, equipment procurement, standard operating procedures, and inter, agency coordination frameworks, helping agencies build a complete public safety capability rather than filling isolated skill gaps.
