Chris served in the United States Marine Corps from 1995 to 2008, completing four deployments to Iraq and serving as an EOD technician and team leader. His military awards include the Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medal with Combat Distinguishing Device.
Following his military service, Chris worked as an instructor with the U.S. Department of State’s Antiterrorism Assistance Program, delivering counter-IED training internationally. He later supported the U.S. Army EOD program as a technical writer, analyst, and capability developer, contributing to military doctrine, training systems, and operational studies.
From 2017 to 2026, Chris served at the Humanitarian Demining Training Center, supporting EOD and WAM programs across more than twenty countries. His work included curriculum development, program assessment, instructor development, and training aligned with international standards.
Chris is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Instructional Systems and Learning Technologies at Florida State University.
