We’re proud to share a recent collaborative effort between Golden West Humanitarian Foundation and the Quang Tri Provincial Military Command (#PMC) Explosive Ordnance Disposal (#EOD) team. Together, we successfully defused and removed an M117 bomb in Quang Binh province, Vietnam, supporting the neighboring province and ensuring the safety of the community.
The M117 bomb, with a possible M112 tail fuze, is a relic from the Vietnam War. This unexploded ordnance posed a significant threat, and it was crucial to address this situation promptly and professionally.
This dangerous ordnance was located perilously close to residential areas. With precision and skill, we safely defused the M117 bomb on-site, ensuring the safety of all personnel involved and preventing any damage to property. The collaboration between the Quang Tri PMC EOD team and Golden West was a testament to the dedication and expertise of our team members.
Our mission is to save lives and protect communities by addressing the deadly legacy of conflict. This successful operation in Quang Tri province is a prime example of our commitment to that mission. We are proud to work alongside dedicated individuals and organizations like the Quang Tri PMC EOD team and PTVN QB to make the world a safer place.
